** This is a letter that was hand delivered over the next 24 hours by spectral beings that are not exactly like anything ever seen, and hardly whispered about, to the Leaders, Ranking officials, and sitting Council Members of each territory.
A simple piece of parchment, sealed with the grand council’s insignia in a wax that lets out a gentle magical puff when cracked by the assigned recipient, the smoke of it wrapping around the receiver briefly before drifting off.
Nothing to be uneasy about, just a simple tracking spell, much like those ones attached to emails to see who opens the emails you’ve sent out. **
We, the Grand Council has made our decision in regards to the revelation of our mutual kind to the mortals of the human realm as well as other various addendums, agreements, and parlays between our respective races.
◉ It is the order of this Council that beginning prior to the Winter Solstice, this year of two thousand nineteen, several of the highest ranking members of our society shall reveal themselves to the leaders of the mortal world and work to begin to allow our kind to coexist mutually with them.
○ After this meeting, a public announcement will be made to the rest of the world, revealing ourselves around a nearby Solstice or Equinox. This shall be the Day of Revelation.
○ We trust that all of us will hold ourselves in the best possible of lights as we strive to merge our livelihoods with the humans.
◉ We urge you to inform your people and allow them the time to adjust to the idea and prepare themselves and their families for the upcoming events. Please, instruct them to not panic or reveal themselves earlier than scheduled as to do so would cause far more damage and panic than we believe we can afford.
◉ Those of our kind that wish to reveal themselves at this time may do so at their own risk, as we are well aware of how we will most likely be perceived by the rest of the world we hold so dear. Revealing oneself is a personal decision for every one of us and should never be forced or a required action. As such, we have declared that to reveal another against their will is against our laws, and holds the same severity as treason.
◉ Going forward, a treaty has been agreed to and signed between the Mer and Fae, allowing the return of the Mer to their home waters in Underhill. All Mer leaders must contact the Fae dignitaries in their territory in order to begin the process of regaining entry into the lands of Fae and Mer.
We are aware that not all of the animosities between our people have been resolved and some past actions can never be erased, however we are looking forward with hope to a bright and prosperous future together alongside humans. Together we can help bring the Earth back to the beauty it once was and can have again.
